The inaugural Young Defence Scientists Programme (YDSP) Congress was held on Wednesday 14 March 2007 at Swissotel The Stamford. The Congress marked the culmination of the YDSP activities in 2006. Gracing the event as our Guest-of-Honour was Minister of Defence, Mr Teo Chee Hean.
More than 200 guests comprising YDSP participants, school representatives, partners and mentors from various research institutes as well as members from MINDEF, Defence Science & Technology Agency and DSO National Laboratories, attended the Congress
Thirty students received the YDSP Scholarship awards from Mr Teo while another 45 students received the YDSP Academic Awards for their excellent academic achievements.
Our YDSP participants also had the opportunity to present their Research @YDSP projects and share their experiences from YDSP Science & Technology Camp and YDSP World of Science.
To wrap up the event, the students and guests joined Mr Teo in viewing the poster exhibits.
